  1. Who pays for the airline tickets?
    The Student pays for his own airline tickets.
  2. Who pays for accomodation?
    The Student pays for his accomodation. However, we provide a week temporary accomodation for the student when he arrives.
  3. Do we teach Aqeedah, Fiqh and Hadith?
    The Institute is strictly going to be teaching arabic language. We strongly recommend that the student study the subjects of Aqeedah, Fiqh and Hadith, etc in the Haram with the Senior Scholars of Islam. Alhamdulillah there classes every night in the Haram teaching these topics.
  4. Does the Institute have permission to teach?
    Yes, The institute is licensed by the the Ministry of Education to teach Arabic.
  5. Would assistance be rendered to the Student in finding an accomodation?
    Yes, the institute would assist the student in finding an apartment. Accomodation costs more or less about $5000 per annum depening on the proximity to the Haram.
  6. Can a Student bring his Family?
    The Student should note that the visa given  is for him alone. The Institute would howerver try to assist him in getting Visa's for his family. The student would pay for his family's visa expenses. The institute makes no assurance that the student who be able to obtain a residency visa for his family.The needs of a small-sized family could be estimated around $6000 depending on the nature of the family- outgoing, trips, frequently eating out,etc
  7. Can the Student Work?
    The Student should note that the type of visa given to him is a 'student visa' which prevents him from working. However, when the student gets here we would direct him to some of the English Language Teaching Institutes perphaps he may get a job teaching english. The institute makes no assurance of this.
  8. How much does the tuition cost?
    The cost of the tuition is $5000 for 2 years. The student is required to pay $2000 at submission of his application documents, and another $1000 after 3 months of his studies. The remaining $2000 would be paid in the 2nd year of school.
  9. What books are going to be used?
    The Institute is going to be using the Umm Qura Arabic Language books.
  10. Is there any relationship between the Institute and Umm Qura University?
    The Institute does not have any relationship with Umm al-Qura University.
  11. What will be the process of sending me the visa for entry?
    We would be sending you an acceptance letter once we get the visa approved. A copy of the acceptance letter would be sent to the Saudi embassy in your country as well. Once you receive the acceptance letter contact the embassy and begin the visa application process with the embassy.
    Please note: The visa application process takes at least 3 months from the time the Institute submits the application to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  12. Is there a set academic year, or does a person start studying as soon as he arrives in Makkah?
    Yes there is a set academic year, It starts Februrary 5, 2005. We stop for a summer vacation in June. Then the school resumes 2nd week in September.
  13. Who are the teachers?
    The teachers are mainly from Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
  14. How many hours per day is the studying?
    The classes start at 8.00am till 12.00pm and from 4.00pm to 6.00pm (the evening hours can adjusted to the students needs).
  15. Does the Institute have classes for Sisters?
    The Institute would provide a female teacher for the sisters if they come with a mahram(brother,husband or father) who is studying in the Institute.
